Absinthe Bar - Fri./Sep.17.04
"Absinthe is a licorice-flavored alcohol that was huge around the turn of the 20th century. Yeah, it's that stuff that Ewan McGregor downed in "Moulin Rouge" — the hallucinogenic properties come from the wormwood, which produces a chemical compound, thujone, that artists thought promoted creativity. The drink, nicknamed "The Green Fairy," was a favorite among the French bohemian artist scene, and was deemed illegal by most countries by 1915 because "promoting creativity" ending up meaning in scientific terms "causing hallucinations and seizures." -dirt
Let's see if that green fairy from Eurotrip is real or not this Friday night. You have to go late because this bar is disguised as a Indian Food restaurant by day.

- "For the lips of an adulteress drip honey,
And smoother than oil is her speech;
But in the end she is bitter as wormwood,
Sharp as a two-edged sword.
Her feet go down to death,
Her steps lay hold of Sheol."
