Absinthe Bar  -  Fri./Sep.17.04

"Absinthe is a licorice-flavored alcohol that was huge around the turn of the 20th century. Yeah, it's that stuff that Ewan McGregor downed in "Moulin Rouge" the hallucinogenic properties come from the wormwood, which produces a chemical compound, thujone, that artists thought promoted creativity. The drink, nicknamed "The Green Fairy," was a favorite among the French bohemian artist scene, and was deemed illegal by most countries by 1915 because "promoting creativity" ending up meaning in scientific terms "causing hallucinations and seizures." -dirt

Let's see if that green fairy from Eurotrip is real or not this Friday night.  You have to go late because this bar is disguised as a Indian Food restaurant by day.

"For the lips of an adulteress drip honey,
And smoother than oil is her speech;
But in the end she is bitter as wormwood,
Sharp as a two-edged sword.
Her feet go down to death,
Her steps lay hold of Sheol."
Proverbs 5:4
